Hello world!

Ah. They say the third time is the charm. This isn’t the first blog I’ve created to try to teach myself animation, graphics, and design. However, I think this will be the best maintained of my attempts. Please join me as I figure out how this all will work: taking old African folklore from all over the continent and turning it into a form that is consumable by modern day children. We cannot understand how to move forward without understanding where we’ve come from. As a child of the diaspora, I fully understand how disconnected a foreign educated African can feel from their own culture: the inability to speak the language, the affected speech, the lack of understanding behaviors in context…I want to use this blog to work towards filling that gap and bringing our story, as I understand it (and as you guys (whoever manages to find this blog) help me understand it).

Ekaabo, Akwaaba!
